Our Wooly Mission

James River Woolery seeks to share our deep appreciation and knowledge of nature and the American Southwest with our guests in the hopes of instilling within them a sense of reverence of a spirit or entity greater than ourselves and a sense of conservation of nature while building self-esteem through opportunities for fun, adventure, and friendship.

Our Curly Vision

Provide guests of all ages with a world-class location, opportunities for personal growth, and programs to enhance their lives and enable and encourage them to share their experiences and new found knowledge with others.

Our Warm Approach

Our location is key to our approach and plays a major role as our backdrop for accomplishing our mission. By leveraging the natural beauty, serenity, and wildlife of the tall Ponderosa Pine found deep in the heart of both the Coconino County National Forest and Native American Indian country, we provide our guests many opportunities for growth and understanding of the world around us and our place within it.

These opportunities include (but are not limited to):

• Instill a sense of conservation, exploration, and life-long appreciation of the outdoors and by providing access to experiences not found in big city environment.

• Build self-esteem through experiential learning and activities.

Among those we hope to reach are individuals that would not otherwise have an opportunity or the means to experience such a camp or be able to spend an extended amount of time in the outdoors.
